Exclusive Group Tours
This tour provides an insight into significant research and conservation taking place at the Australian PlantBank research facility. Tour participants can also gain an introduction to the new National Herbarium of New South Wales and explore its significance in critical botanical research. Contact us to book your exclusive PlantBank Group Tour.
PLEASE NOTE: Exclusive group tours are recommended for all groups > 5 participants, including corporate, community and probus groups. Special arrangements may be possible for community transport, NDIS and support worker groups. Bookings for exclusive group tours are essential and fees apply.

Australian PlantBank Tours
Weekly PlantBank Tour (by donation)
On Fridays and weekends the dedicated volunteer guides at the Garden provide guided tours of the Australian PlantBank.
Tour times can vary so please contact the Visitor Centre to confirm times and Humanitix Link to book your space on the tour as tours book out quickly.

Group Tours by bus
If you are travelling to the Garden by bus or coach, book in for one of our Garden tours and have a team member hop on your vehicle and provide your group with an informative commentary on the history and life of the Garden.

Spring is our peak time due to our wild flower display so please book well in advance.

Garden Tours
Connections Garden Walk
The Connections Garden is a roofless museum showcasing the development of plants through time, their relationships with wildlife and their relationships with humans.
This four hectare Garden is not only stunning, but highly educational.
These tours run during Autumn (March April May) and Spring (September, October and November) only.

Self Guided Walks
Woodland Walk
The Woodland Walk is approximately 4km in length and a relatively easy walk. We suggest it should take you about one hour to complete.
Please wear enclosed shoes, hat and take water with you.
Central Valley Walk
The Central Valley Walk is approximately 2.7km in length and a relatively easy walk along paved walk ways. We suggest it should take you about 45 minutes to complete.
This scenic walk does cover areas with considerable elevation so please keep this in mind before setting out.
The walk includes the stunning views from the top of Sundial Hill of the Sydney Basin and city skyline.
Please wear enclosed shoes, hat and take water with you.
