Explore this unique beauty

Orchids are the world’s second-largest family of flowering plants, and they have fascinated, entranced, and excited people for generations with their beauty and desirability of flowers.

Go behind the scenes of the orchid glasshouses at the Royal Botanic Garden, Sydney and learn about how these fabulous plants utilise the art of disguise and deception to attract pollinators.

This tour will be facilitated by specialist orchid volunteer Peter D’Olier and fellow orchid judge and volunteer guide, Jane D’Olier, who also volunteers in the herbarium mounting room.

The tour will end at the Botanica 2025 Exhibition, The Art of Disguise and Deception
