Healing Country

These workshops are part of Plant a Promise, a new work by Henrietta Baird. 

Inspired by the devastating 2019–2020 fires and the changing climate, Plant a Promise has four parts: a moving dance performance, a Baya (fire) installation, native planting and yarns which weave together Indigenous knowledge and environmental science to share the importance of caring for Country.

Following three years of development, the world premiere is part of the 2025 Sydney Festival.

Please note: These workshops are limited to 25 participants. Patrons are advised to wear weather appropriate clothing and comfortable enclosed walking shoes. A reasonable level of mobility is required as participants will need to kneel to plant the native grasses.
