Discover Australia’s weird and wonderful plants

Australia is home to many fantastical, weird and dangerous plants.

Plants exhibit amazing adaptations to harsh environments – they can deceive pollinators, trap and consume insects, produce defensive chemicals and even strangle one another in a competition for sunlight.

Explore the world of weird and dangerous plants at the Australian Botanic Garden Mount Annan these school holidays. Join a workshop to create a dangerous plant habitat, take a guided tour of the Garden and learn about the incredible adaptations that allow plants to thrive.

Suitable for children ages 5 – 12 years.
