Join us for a night of stargazing
Over a glass of wine discover what the night sky teaches you with our resident First Nations astronomer and distinguished Astrophysicist Dr Ángel Lopez -Sanchez.
More than 4,000 planets have been discovered and tonight our team of experts will take you on a journey to these strange 'other' worlds. Powerful telescopes from the Northern Sydney Astronomical Society will allow a personal discovering into the world beyond Earth.
A complimentary drink and light snacks are included with each ticket purchase.
Recommended for children 12 years+.
This event will take place regardless of weather. In the event that the night sky cannot be viewed other activities will be set up for you to enjoy.
This event will be delivered by A/Prof. Ángel R. López-Sánchez who is the Director of the MQ Astronomy Observatory and a celebrated astrophysicist and science communicator.
He is a recognised expert in the study of how the gas is converted into stars in galaxies and how this affects galaxy evolution and has worked at CSIRO and the Australian Astronomical Observatory (AAO). His stunning astronomy time-lapse videos and photos have been viewed across YouTube, television and science museums worldwide.
