Acacia Theatre

The Acacia Theatre is located within the Australian PlantBank which has won many awards for its outstanding architecture.

The PlantBank was built with the main purpose being the research and conservation of New South Wales plant species but it also lends itself to a number of other uses including meetings, workshops, training sessions, conferences, corporate dinners and weddings.

The Acacia Theatre leads off the Telopea Gallery. One side of the theatre is comprised of a void that rises up from the tunnel below to the sky above, providing a light and ventilation chimney. 

The interior finishes of the PlantBank have deliberately been chosen to articulate the different characters of the building - the laboratories and interpretive areas have visual clarity whilst the workspaces such as the Acacia Theatre are designed with timber, to create a warm and soft environment.

The Acacia Theatre is well-equipped and can be configured to suit your requirements thanks to its modular furniture.
