The Garden is an oasis waiting to be explored!
Enjoy an evening exploration of the Garden after the crowds have left. Visit biodiversity 'hotspots' to look for nocturnal animals – some who just fly in for the night, others who are long-term residents. Experience the spectacular Sydney harbour views at sunset from the site of the First Fleet landing and learn what evening life would have been like for Gadigal people.
Students will
- Go on a spotlight walk to discover some of the Garden’s night-time residents
- Visit the amazing Sydney Harbour foreshore at sunset, explore how the site has changed since the arrival of the First Fleet and take a photograph to celebrate your visit
- Learn about life on the harbour for the Gadi people, their evening and night-time activities and try making fire using sticks.
- Tell spooky stories in the succulent garden, play games and enjoy some sharing circle treats

- Explore the Gardens after the crowds go home and the gates close, connect with Gadigal country and learn about first nations culture
