Please note: Organisers will need to make their own way to and from checkpoints and will also need to place their own markers at each checkpoint. No vehicle access is permitted. An escort can be arranged with the Garden ranger from 8.30 am.

Cross country/walkathon terms and conditions


1. All cross country and walkathons are required to comply with the terms and conditions. If your application is successful, further conditions may be applied at the Garden's discretion.

2. Please ensure you bring your own garbage bags and bag all excess rubbish. All rubbish that cannot fit in the bins provided in the booking location must be removed by the end of the event.

3. The Garden requests the amenities and venue are left in a clean and tidy state prior to your departure. If the area is not left in a suitable state an additional cleaning fee may apply.

Please submit the following documents with your application form. Submitting these documents will allow us to process your application in a timely manner.

Fees and Charges

Please refer to our rate cards. 

Cancellation Fees
  • 15 days or more prior to activity will recieve a 75 per cent refund of paid fees. 
  • Between eight (8) and 14 days prior to activity will receive a 50 per cent refund of paid fees. 
  • Less than seven (7) days prior to activity will not receive a refund. 
A tax invoice will be forwarded for payment post-event. Please confirm final number of participants within two (2) days after your event. 

Payment options include credit card (MasterCard or Visa), cheque (made payable to the Royal Botanic Garden Sydney) or cash payments can be made at the Visitor Centre. 

Booking Confirmation 

Your booking will only be confirmed once your application and all supporting documentation have been received. 

Once all documentation has been processed, you will be forwarded a booking confirmation within seven (7) working days.
