Our Role
The focus of the Botanic Gardens of Sydney and our Executive team is to advance plant conservation and encourage the enjoyment of our Botanic Gardens across Sydney and the Domain.
The Botanic Gardens of Sydney manages 752 hectares of public green spaces, which include some of Sydney's most iconic green spaces:
- Royal Botanic Garden Sydney
- The Domain Sydney
- Australian Botanic Garden Mount Annan
- Blue Mountains Botanic Garden Mount Tomah
Established in 1816, the Botanic Gardens of Sydney is Australia's oldest continuous scientific institution and contributes to vital plant conservation and research locally, nationally and globally.
