An exciting volunteer opportunity
Through a community of people, plants, and places, Community Greening fosters idea exchange, knowledge sharing, collaboration, empowerment, and celebration of our connection to the natural world.
We build green spaces with communities to foster physical and mental health while strengthening the connections between people and their local environment. The program focuses on the healing qualities of therapeutic horticulture, beautifying spaces, empowering individuals, and connecting people to their communities.
Our Community Greening program has three sessions available for tree planting throughout this year.
Each session will take place from 10am to 1pm at Eastlakes Community Garden. Up to ten volunteers can be hosted per session, and the activities will include site prep, mulching, weed matting, tree staking, planting, and watering.
The available sessions are 18 April, 11 July, and 3 October.
If you have already booked a horticulture session at the Royal Botanic Garden Sydney as part of your partner deliverables, you can exchange that session for this Eastlakes opportunity.
